How do you handle negative situation?

Once in a while, it happens that your closest relationships go really hay wire. And all of sudden, against your will, you are pulled into the same old argument. Maybe certain details had changed, but deep down, its the same old thing you know… oooohhh so well.

Your mind starts racing, you want to argue, you are angry and hurt at the same time, you want to throw your hands into the air and leave never to return.

Recently, I found this incredible tool to help me neutralize my feelings and tension. Maybe it’s not for everyone but if you are at your wits end, try Sat Nam Walk. Sat means truth and Nam means name. It is a neutral mantra.

This is not some sort of religious name calling, or a positive affirmation, this is an ancient yogic tool based on a pure science. If you remember from math, negative times negative always equals more negative. Negative times positive also equals negative but negative times zero is always zero, it’s neutral. Zero out each thought with Sat Nam and repeat it until your mind gives up and gets to a neutral state.

You can also use it when your mind is constantly repeating thoughts that are negative that don’t serve you, this simple mantra on repeat creates a completely new, powerful vibration and cancels each negative thought that comes to you.

Sat Nam Walk
It’s a simple brisk walk with Sat Nam mantra.
When stepping on a left foot you say out loud Sat,
when stepping on a right foot you say Nam.
I recite it out loud while walking constantly at least for 6 – 11 minutes. Until I feel relaxed, think clearly and I’m not full of anger or sadness.
If you are not able to leave the house then try pacing yourself in the bathroom and keep saying to yourself Sat Nam, Sat Nam, Sat Nam….
This mantra is so neutral, it will dissipate negativity like the sun that dries a morning dew.

Here is to always finding a sensible way out of a negative situation.

Please let me know what are your tried and true tricks to handle negativity?
