The promise of 25th pauri is wealth and prosperity but what it teaches is humbleness. It reminds us that there are many different karmic plays we can get sucked into. We could be chasing after money, we could be overindulging in food, we could be chasing after vices or we could be hungry and defeated.
And then Guru Nanak capitulates. He says whether we are free or we live in some kind of bondage is also Your decision.
But through chanting and resonating the sacred sound current we can become “the nobility of the nobility”
And those that are devoted to God will always be taken care of.
