This is such a cute story.
A few years ago, I was teaching my lunch time yoga at Quest Bookshop, when Tony walked in. Although already on a deep spiritual search, he never done Kundalini Yoga before. His first class made him very intrigued and he started coming every single week. His wife would join as well if she was off and I could see their happiness grow.
I kept getting nudges to bring my gong over to the bookshop and play for everyone. So I did. When Tony heard it, it completely hit home for him. He was completely smitten and started researching about gongs, looking for more gong events in the city and also took Gong training with a world famous Don Conreaux. Now, he owns a collection of wonderful gongs with other sound instruments and plays for people all over New York City.
While ago I’ve asked him if I could record a gong session with him and this video is a short piece from that session.
A great way to listen to the gong is laying down, but if you can’t do that, sit comfortably, put your headphones on and completely let go.
Let go of everything and submerge yourself in the warm, massaging sounds of the universe.
Break the boundaries of time and space and fly as far you like to.
Feel the sounds vibrate through your body.
And let go…
***I would recommend listening to the gong before you go to sleep or when you feel creatively blocked.
It’s only 9 minutes but they can create a huge break for you, just like they did for Tony.
